
Is there anybody more on top of it all than a mom? That was definitely the case in East Bethel, Minnesota, final week when Kari Thorp’s sharp eye and fast response time obtained 22 elementary college children to security after a school bus fire broke out.
Thorp was strolling out her entrance door to select up her 6-year-old daughter from the bus cease when she noticed flames rising from the bus’ tire effectively. She jumped into motion, and with the assistance of the bus driver, Rick Gratton, obtained all the children to the security of her entrance porch earlier than the automobile went up in flames.
